    At the 27th annual Southeast Builders Conference (one of two regional events recognized by, and affiliated with the National Association of Homebuilders), Vision Homes of Southwest Florida received four Aurora Awards and three Grand Auroras for its environmental comitment and custom design.

Vision Homes captures awards in 2006 Parade of Homes competition. Vision Homes of Southwest Florida was awarded several honors in the 2006 Parade of Homes Competition, including Best Overall. The Nantucket model at Rye Wilderness was awarded Best Floor Plan, Best Architectural Detail, and Best Overall in its class. Vision Homes was also awarded several honors for its Tech Home in Trillium. Among these were Best Water Wise Landscape, Best Pool, and Best Landscape.

      The doors to the HBA Tech House open for Parade of Homes February 25, 2006!.
With rising concerns of safety, structural integrity, and energy conservation in Southwest Florida, the Home Builders Association partnered with Vision Homes of SW Florida to introduce a concept that would incorporate the latest technologies in the housing industry addressing all of these concerns. Together, they've designed the HBA Tech House, a project that involved a lot of research to insure that the house had the right components to meet all of these needs. Among this research, the partners, Michael Padgett and Chip Nemec, and their Director of Operations, Lynn Pepkowski, attended the National Association of Home Builders Green Conference held in Atlanta. With the newest national trends in mind, the team began planning a home that is not only built with green techniques, and energy efficiency, but includes a concrete safe room and many features that make it storm resistant. What tech house is complete without the intricate central control panel and home theater room? Sturdy and high tech is not synonymous with plain architecture, either. Aesthetic appeal is never sacrificed in a Vision Home, but accentuated in this high-tech wonder, with many elegant (and functional) architectural accents.
